When are chokers “too much”?

With 2016 coming to an end shortly, I’ve looked back and it’s defiantly been the year of the chokers. No matter what party you go to or even if you go to your local grocery market, someone has got a choker or two on. But what I want to find out is, when are chokers too much? Is there a line that needs to be drawn with the size of the choker?

Starting off was a simple black stretchy tattoo choker; something that you could find as a free toy from a cereal box, soon developed to now what appears to be chokers that look like neck braces. Kim K inspiration or have people taken it too far?

Now is it me or am I looking at a neck brace instead of a choker?

I’ve never been a huge fan of chokers. I feel like they don’t suit me unlike how a majority of the girls make them look on themselves, but think everyone is guilty of the choker craze. I remember ordererimg the shoelace style one? Wore it once and never wore it again. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the simple neck piece choker that works minimally yet effectively, but when it gets repepetive with a simple black lace.. Every girl is wearing it.

I don’t know if this is me and being all for minimal pieces and having a simplistic/relaxed approach to things, but check out the oversized chokers I found and see what you think? Is there a line not to cross with chokers?
