Stripe it up | Stylish stripe pieces

Stripes can be a print that we love or hate. They can make or break an outfit and can either make you look like a sailor or a candy cane. But I don’t want you fashionistas to have this battle, so I have done the hard work for you. I gathered the best stripe pieces on the high street, that will put the myth of stripes making you look frumpy in the past.

Asymmetrical dress, £17.99, ZARA

An asymmetrical striped dress is great for when you don’t know where to start with stripes. The one shoulder detail helps break the stripes up. The belt is ideal for locking in at the waist to still show off that waist of yours.

Reconstructed shirt, £65, Topshop

The amount of times us girls get yelled at for going through our boyfriends wardrobes and wearing their shirts. This is the time to get your hands on a shirt of your own. The reconstructed shirt is great for those casual days, when you want to add a little something else to your look.

Smock top, £22, ASOS

This top is great for women who have broad shoulders. The stripes are at the areas you want to work on to elevate out your shape. I am in love with the fun and flirty style!

Chalk stripe trousers, £29.99, Mango

Dress them up or dress them down. Every girl should have a pair of high waisted trousers in their wardrobe. Believe me ladies, they are a god send! The faded stripes are great for slimming out the legs.

V Stripe sweatshirt, £42, Urban Outfitters

When I’m talk stripes, the print doesn’t have to be the main feature on the clothes. Take it stripe by stripe at a time, and go for a simpler piece. The V neck sweater is great for the cooler days.

Drawstring top, £32, River Island

This is one of my favourite pieces. The drawstring top is super feminine and chic! The sleeves are to die for with the balloon tie effect. This option is great for the minimalists.

Stripe silk bomber jacket, £502, Avenue 32

You saw the price tag and thought we forgot to include the decimal. I wish! But I couldn’t resist this one off piece from Avenue 32. You have to make investments in life and this is the perfect example of a good investment. With the fabric being sillk, it is a great lightweight piece.

Don’t be afraid to go for stripes, whether they are thick or pinstripes. They are a great twist to your wardrobe! We believe in you ladies.
